ROLAND, Okla. — Cherokee Casino & Hotel Roland will welcome Oklahoma’s own powerhouse rock band Hinder to the stage at 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, at Lee Creek Tavern inside the casino.
Multiplatinum rockers Hinder have built a rare kind of staying power in modern rock, crafting a career that has spanned nearly two decades of radio hits, chart-topping albums and relentless touring. The Oklahoma City band first exploded onto the scene with its 2005 debut album, “Extreme Behavior,” which climbed to No. 6 on the Billboard 200 and has since been certified triple platinum, featuring the hit tracks “Lips of an Angel, “Better Than Me” and “Get Stoned.”
The band’s 2008 follow-up, “Take It to the Limit,” debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and cemented Hinder as one of rock’s biggest breakout acts of the 2000s. That success launched them onto major stages around the world, performing alongside rock heavyweights such as Aerosmith, Mötley Crüe, Nickelback, 3 Doors Down and Papa Roach. In 2007, the group’s impact on its home state was recognized with an induction into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame.
Now fronted by lead vocalist Marshal Dutton (formerly of Carb, Faktion and Drankmore) alongside founding members Cody Hanson (drums), Joe “Blower” Garvey (lead guitar) and Mike Rodden (bass), the band continues to evolve with its latest album, “Back to Life.” The album’s lead single, “Bring Me Back to Life,” is surging on rock radio, reigniting global attention and reinforcing its reputation as one of rock’s most enduring and dynamic acts.
The show is free to those 21 and older.
