WEST SILOAM SPRINGS, Okla. — Cherokee Casino & Hotel West Siloam Springs will welcome music royalty to the stage with the legendary Wilson Phillips at 8 p.m. on Feb. 26 at the Qualla Ballroom inside the casino.
Known for its unmistakable harmonies and chart-topping hits, Wilson Phillips rose to fame as one of the most successful vocal groups of the early 1990s. The trio — Carnie Wilson, Wendy Wilson and Chynna Phillips — brought a fresh, harmony-driven sound to pop music while carrying forward a remarkable musical legacy.
Carnie and Wendy Wilson, the daughters of Beach Boy legend Brian Wilson, joined together in the late 1980s with Chynna Phillips, the daughter of the equally notorious Michelle and John Phillips of the Mamas and the Papas.
The pairing was magic, combining the vocal harmonies in their DNA, and the group quickly captured international attention with its 1990 self-titled debut album. The release became a multiplatinum success, generating three consecutive No. 1 singles — “Hold On,” “Release Me” and “Impulsive” — and earning four Grammy Award nominations. The group’s follow-up album continued the momentum with another No. 1 hit, “You’re in Love,” solidifying its place in pop music history.
Over the years, Wilson Phillips has sold more than 10 million albums worldwide, earning recognition as one of the best-selling female groups of all time. After stepping back from touring and recording to focus on family life, the trio reunited in the 2000s to release several acclaimed projects, including collections of classic California songs, holiday favorites and a tribute to the iconic music that influenced them from an early age.
In 2011, the group delighted audiences with a memorable appearance in the hit comedy “Bridesmaids,” introducing its signature anthem “Hold On” to a new generation and reaffirming the trio’s enduring popularity.
Still performing and recording together, Wilson Phillips remains celebrated for their close friendship, timeless songs and signature three-part harmonies, most recently showcased on its 2022 release, a reimagined cover of Harry Styles’ "Boyfriends."
