CATOOSA, Okla. — The Cherokee Nation will host a luncheon to honor seven veterans leaving on the tribe’s 13th Warrior Flight to Washington, D.C.

The Cherokee Nation funds the flight for Cherokee veterans to see the national war memorials erected in their honor in the nation’s capital. During the send-off at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa, the Cherokee Warriors will be presented with flight vests and caps.

Warriors will leave from Tulsa International Airport Tuesday, Sept. 16, and will arrive back on Sept. 19.
