A weekly metrics review should change next week’s work. If the same red cell is “noted” for a month, the review is theatre.
Design
- A handful of measures someone can influence this month.
- An owner per measure.
- Actions with dates, or an explicit “no action, watch.”
What we drop
Vanity totals with no denominator. Charts that cannot be explained by the person presenting them.
Cadence
Weekly for operational exceptions. Strategy does not need a new dashboard every Monday.
