TAHLEQUAH, Okla. — The Cherokee Nation will host a ribbon cutting for families moving into the newly completed ᏗᎬᎩᏍᎩ ᏗᏁᏍᎨᏓ Crittenden Housing Addition in Stilwell.
Fifteen new homes were built for Cherokee families as a part of the Housing Authority of the Cherokee Nation’s New Construction Home Ownership Program. The addition is a part of the Cherokee Nation’s reauthorized Housing, Jobs and Sustainable Communities Act signed into law in 2022 by Principal Chief Chuck Hoskin Jr.
Homes in the new addition include three bedrooms, two baths and a two-car garage and range from 1,745 square feet to 1,844 square feet with low-cost maintenance features and brick siding.
