TULSA, Okla. — Join Principal Chief Chuck Hoskin Jr., Deputy Chief Bryan Warner, other Cherokee Nation leaders, Human Services and Cherokee elders as they celebrate the opening of the tribe’s newest elder nutrition site.

In Oct. 2025, Chief Hoskin and Deputy Chief Warner announced the expansion and renewed vision of the tribe’s elder services program. Along with a renaming of the program, the tribe also committed $2 million from the tribe’s Public Health and Wellness Fund Act to expand elder nutrition sites, including the North Tulsa Elder Nutrition Site as well as other sites on the reservation.

The Cherokee Nation Elder Nutrition Program provides healthy, well-balanced meals to Native elders across the Cherokee Nation Reservation. Through these services, the Elder Nutrition Program supports the overall health, independence, and well-being of Cherokee elders while strengthening community connections and honoring Cherokee traditions of caring for one another.

The North Tulsa Elder Nutrition Site will be open five days a week for elders to eat and fellowship.
